About this converter

A free, private tool for getting bank statement entries into Tally without typing them.

Why it exists

Accountants and business owners spend hours every month copying bank entries into Tally line by line. Most converters that automate this ask you to upload client bank statements to their servers. This one doesn’t: the statement is read and converted entirely in your browser.

How it works

The converter reads the text and layout of a PDF, Excel or CSV statement, identifies the date, narration, withdrawal, deposit and balance columns, and turns each line into a Tally voucher. It checks every entry against the running balance, suggests ledgers from the narration, and writes the result in Tally’s standard XML import format.

How it is tested

Every change is tested against sample statements in the layouts used by major Indian banks, including statements with wrapped narrations, serial-number columns, single amount columns with Dr/Cr, newest-first ordering and password protection. Each test must reproduce the exact entry count, totals and closing balance.
